  • 1/2 cup (99g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2g) vanilla extract
  • Vanilla Buttercream & Strawberry Buttercream
  • large (106g) egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon (<1 g) cream of tartar
  • 1 cup (198g) granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup (75g) water
  • 8 ounces (226g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 teaspoon (5g) vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoons (7g) vanilla extract
  • 1 ounce (28g) freeze-dried strawberries
  • 1/4 cup (28g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (58g) heavy cream
